Meghan and Jonathan’s wedding weekend was such a blast! We are so excited to share their Encanterra Wedding film today. First, let’s take it back to how they first met…
How did Meghan and Jonathan Meet?
Meghan and Jonathan grew up in the same town of Mahomet, Illinois and both graduated from the same high school. Jonathan was a senior when Meghan was in 8th grade. Meghan actually graduated in the same class as Jonathan’s younger brother. They had many connections between their families but never knew each other prior to meeting over Tinder.
Playful
One word to describe Meghan and Jonathan’s relationship is playful. They are always playing around and laughing together.
So… How did Jonathan Propose?
Every year Jonathan’s family does a family vacation. The year Jonathan decided to propose (January 4th, 2018) they were going on a cruise that left from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Once landed in Florida, Jonathan and Meghan decided to walk to dinner that night because the beach was along the way and Meghan really wanted to walk in the sand. The sand was a little chilly so they decided to get back on the sidewalk. When they were almost to the restaurant, Jonathan wanted to get back into the sand which took some convincing because Meghan told Jonathan it was chilly. Slightly frustrated and hangry, Meghan said, “We are late for dinner.” Jonathan then said, “it’s okay that we are late because we have a reason to be.” Meghan a little confused said, “Why is that?” Jonathan replied with, “because I want to spend the rest of my life with you.” Meghan turned around and Jonathan was down on one knee in the sand and said, “Will you marry me?” and of course Meghan said YES! That evening they facetimed Meghan’s family back in Illinois and finally made it to dinner where Jonathan’s brother and sister in law who weren’t coming on the cruise surprised them for their engagement dinner. It was a perfect night!
